Residential Services
Malcolm Eaton Enterprises manages a number Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILA) where individuals can learn to be more independent in a residential setting. Individuals living in the homes learn important skills such as cooking, cleaning and laundry while also learning to become active and engaged members of their local community.
We manage group homes where individuals receive 24-hour staff supervision, as well as apartment settings with intermittent supervision for individuals who have developed the skills to live more independently.
Specific Skills
Personal and comprehensive instruction occurs at our residential facilities to nurture:
- Economic self-sufficiency through money management, budgeting and bill paying.
- Everyday living skills such as grooming, meal planning and housekeeping.
- Community involvement via recreational outings and using area resources and facilities.
Vocational Training
We provide a wide range of hands on, paid, vocational training opportunities including assembly, packaging, quality control and labeling. Each individual who participates in vocational training is supervised by trained, dedicated, staff that help promote positive social interactions and workplace safety.
Community Employment
MALCOLM EATON Enterprises can also assist individuals that are interested in working in the community. Our Community Employment program (CEP) offers an interactive classroom setting, where individuals can learn about job applications, interviews, proper dress, workplace expectations, and appropriate interaction with customers and co-workers. Once an individual has located a job, our trained job coaches work with individuals directly, on the job site, to help them make a successful transition.
Self Directed Assistance (SDA)
Home-Based Support Services facilitation is funded through the Department of Human Services. Malcolm Eaton Enterprises’ staff provide case management to the individuals in this program. These services assist the men, women and children in gaining access to medical, social, educational and other programs they may need. SDAs are responsible for the oversight and administration of the individuals’ service budget.
